Why buy a British fauna coaster?

An animal coaster of an airedale is a great hit as this is a very popular dog amongst our customers! Combine with our A placemat and give them  to someone whose name begins with A and they will appreciate this clever gift set.  Here is our noble airedale terrier a coaster, ready to celebrate Alice or Adrian’s  birthday!   Celebrate a birthday , Christmas or take as a weekend away present.

Why have I produced so many?

I have now produced one fauna coaster for each letter. The animal coasters are all made in the UK (size 100 x 100 x 3.2mm). The background for all my animal coasters is the colour of unbleached linen. As on the placemats.

How I create my designs, from sketch book to finished product.

I first drew an airedale in my sketchbook. Once I had decided on a design for the A British fauna coaster and mat, I made a screen print and from this, I hand printed an edition of 25 prints. The original edition of screen prints can be purchased on request. However I wanted to include acorns and an anchor. We have an Admiral in the family, so he had to be included. Hence there are two versions of airedale placemats which both look good with this animal coaster.

Why did I choose an airedale to illustrate my letter A?

This animal coaster was inspired by a stuffed toy airedale on wheels which I recall from my early days – I think it was given to my eldest sister. He always looked smart and well kept. Which airedales do. They never look scruffy. Some customers see a look of their own dog in my airedale, so he does cover quite a variety of dogs!
